Dr Frank Saran

Dr Frank Saran is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Dr Saran moved to the Marsden in 2001 and is the head of the Neuro-Oncology Unit at The Marsden. Prior to this appointment he worked as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Velindre Hospital, Cardiff focussing on the management of primary CNS and spinal cord tumours as well as non-conformal radiotherapy for children with malignant tumours.

His academic and clinical focus is the management of patients requiring complex radiotherapy,conformal high-precision radiotherapy aiming to maximise tumour control while minimising the risk of potential long term side effects as well as novel systemic therapy approaches in primary CNS tumours. 

Dr Saran is regularly invited to give lectures on his subjects of expertise both internationally and nationally. He is member of many societies and national working groups including ESTRO, RCR, CCLG, NCRI Paediatric CNS tumour group and SIOP-E Brain Tumour Working Group.

Dr David Propper

Dr David Propper is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at Barts and The London NHS Trust.

Dr Propper trained in medical oncology at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Medical Oncology Unit in Oxford and received major trial research experience there. He subsequently spent time at the Lombardi Cancer Centre Georgetown Washington DC, USA.

Dr Propper has interests in translational research, early phase trials and the introduction of new therapeutic agents.

Dr David Landau

Dr David Landau is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Guys and St. Thomas' NHS Trust.

Dr Landau qualified at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (now part of Imperial) in 1990. Most of his training in Clinical Oncology was at Charing Cross Hospital and he finished his training with clinical and research posts at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Dr Landau now specialises only in cancers of the thorax, lung cancers, mesothelioma and thymoma. He also has a specialist interest in metastatic disease from many primaries. He has a particular interest in high-tech radiotherapy treatments.

Dr Landau is one of one founders of London Oncology Clinic in Harley Street and speaks English and French.

Dr David Feuer

Dr David Feuer is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine based at Barts and The London NHS Trust.

Dr Feuer graduated from of The University of Southampton with degrees in Molecular Biology and Medicine. After training in a range of London hospitals, he became Senior Registrar & Research Fellow at The Royal Marsden NHS Trust. In this post he undertook a systematic review of The Management of Intestinal Obstruction due to advanced Gynaecological and Intestinal Cancer, funded by the NHS Executive Research and Development Fund. Numerous papers have resulted from this work, published in the specialist professional literature covering the fields of palliative medicine, general surgery, specialised gynecological oncology, and oncology.

Dr Feuers major interests include pathophysiology and the diagnosis and treatment of malignant intestinal obstruction, together with teaching focusing on the need for critical appraisal of the literature. He is passionate about the need for adequate palliative care and pain relief for all patients at any stage of their illness and  has made many presentations to local, national & international meetings, most notably as invited expert speaker to the NIH meeting in Los Angeles in 2004.

Prof Christopher Nutting

Professor Chris Nutting is a Professor of Clinical Oncology based at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London.

Prof Nutting is a world leading Oncologist.  Operating from his Central and West London practices, he specialises in the management of cancer of the head and head, thyroid, thorax and other forms. He is an expert in solid cancer treatment with state of the art radiotherapy techniques such as conformal and intensity modulated radiotherapy designed to reduce complications of treatment and improve cure rates.

In June 2001 Professor Nutting was appointed Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Clinical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where his clinical responsibilities and special interests include the management of patients with head and neck and lung cancers. He is the Clinical Director of the Head and Neck Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

He has an extensive clinical practice in head, neck and lung cancer and participates in Nation Research protocols. He is regularly asked to speak at National and International clinical meetings on head and neck and lung tumours.

Dr Christopher McNamara

Dr Christopher McNamara is a Consultant Haematologist based at The Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London.

Dr McNamara has with a special interest in lymphoma and difficult diagnostic problems. He holds Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Pathologists and the Royal College of Pathologists.

His post-graduate training was in Brisbane, Melbourne and Paris. He has held an NHS appointment, based in lymphoma work in London for more than a decade.

 He has interests in:

  • Follicular lymphoma
  • Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
  • Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Marginal zone lymphoma

Dr Christopher Cottrill

Dr Chris Cottrill is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at Barts Cancer Centre (St Bartholomews Hospital) in London.

Dr Cottrill specialises in Breast and Gastrointestinal (oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, colon, rectum and anus) cancers and has a specialist interest in stereotactic radiosurgery (CyberKnife treatment). He has a particular interest in combined modality therapy (combination chemo-radiotherapy). He has been a Consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital for 10 years and is experienced in all aspects of the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment of Breast and Gastrointestinal cancers.


Within the field of radiotherapy Dr Cottrill has a specialist interest in combined chemo-radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT, RapidArc, VMAT) and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT). He is fully accredited in the use of CyberKnife stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) at Barts Hospital, the London Clinic and the Harley Street Clinic CyberKnife units.

Since 2000 Dr Cottrill has lectured annually on international postgraduate courses in the field of evidence-based radiation therapy for the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO).

Dr Alison Jones

Dr Alison Jones is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Jones graduated from Bristol University in 1980 and specialised in Medical Oncology, training at The Royal Marsden Hospital, after which she took up a consultant post at The Royal Free Hospital in 1993.

She now specialises in breast cancer and works between The Royal Free and University College Hospital, London in a multidisciplinary team with approximately 300 new cases of breast cancer per annum on each site. She is an active participant in clinical trials and has been on the steering committee for a number of trials within the United Kingdom.

She has an interest in all aspects of breast cancer from diagnosis through treatment, and in particular has an interest in young women with breast cancer, pregnancy-associated breast cancer and fertility-related issues. She has undertaken psychosocial research in relation to breast cancer and family relationships.

She also undertakes clinical trials in the private sector at The Sarah Cannon Institute which is associated with LOC in Harley Street.

She has specific interest in:

  • Clinical trials
  • Breast cancer in young women (fertility preservation, pregnancy etc.)
  • Survivorship
  • Introduction of new drugs
  • Personalised medicine

She continues on the steering committee of the Association of Cancer Physicians UK having been immediate past chair and advises on the introduction of new drugs through the London Cancer Drugs Group. She is a trustee of Breast Cancer Care, the major UK charity advising and supporting women through breast cancer. She is invited to speak at both national and international meetings.

She continues to publish on breast cancer and has over a hundred and forty publications, mainly in peer review journals.

Dr Jones speaks English and French.

Dr Stephen Lloyd Morris

Dr Stephen Lloyd Morris is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals and Kings College Hospital in London.

After graduating from Guys and St Thomas’ medical school Dr Morris specialised in Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals.

His unique practice includes real time dynamic prostate brachytherapy. A new treatment offered to patients in the UK at Guys and St Thomas’ and privately at London Bridge Hospital. Dr Morris has extensive experience of radiotherapy for prostate cancer including the modern techniques of IMRT, IGRT and Tomotherapy.

As a world expert in cutaneous lymphoma he offers a modern Total Skin Electron Beam (TSEB) technique at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals and the St Johns Institute of Dermatology. The St Johns institute is a world leading centre of excellence for the management of cutaneous lymphoma and the national referral centre in the UK. Through his interests in technology he designed and released a free cutaneous lymphoma iPhone app that is now used world wide to assist healthcare professionals managing cutaneous lymphoma.

Dr Morris is a Member of the Royal College of Radiologists, the British Institute of Radiology, the British Medical Association and is an active member of the EORTC cutaneous lymphoma task force and principal investigator for new drug and radiotherapy trials for cutaneous lymphoma and prostate cancer.

Dr Sarah Harris

Dr Sarah Harris is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London.

Dr Harris trained in clinical oncology as a specialist registrar in Poole and Southampton and as a senior registrar at St Bartholomews Hospital. She spent 2 months in the USA looking at advanced radiotherapy techniques before becoming a consultant clinical oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas'. 

Dr Harris has been a Consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' since 1998. She specialises in the treatment of breast and prostate cancers using drug therapy and radiotherapy. She has a special interest in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques to deliver the best quality treatment while minimising the side effects to the patient. This allows the external radiotherapy used in breast cancer to avoid the heart and other important structures.

Dr Harris is part of the multi-disciplinary team Guys and St Thomas, which assesses patients’ suitability for intra-operative radiotherapy . This is given as a single treatment to the breast in some patients and may avoid a longer course of external radiotherapy. Dr Harris has trained in treatment of breast and urological cancers using radiotherapy and drug therapies including hormone treatments and chemotherapy and targeted therapies. She is trained in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT and cyberknife with breast cancer and advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT , IGRT and cyberknife for urological cancer treatments.

Dr Harris has had many papers published in peer review journals and books, on the management of breast and urological cancers. She is a member of Royal College of Radiologists and Royal College of Physicians
