Dr Rebecca Kristeleit is Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Medical Oncologist at University College London and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Kristeleit specialises in the treatment of gynaecological cancers.

Dr Kristeleit qualified in medicine from St Andrew’s and Manchester Universities including eight months at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) on an Erasmus scholarship. Following general medical training in London, Rebecca undertook her medical oncology training at The Royal Marsden Hospital and a CRUK-funded research fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research. Subsequently, Rebecca spent a year as a senior research fellow on the Drug Development Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital gaining specialist experience in the design and conduct of early phase clinical trials and translational medicine.

She also has a specialist interest in drug development as well and is leading several clinical trials of novel agents relevant to gynecological malignancies including PARP inhibitors.

Dr Martin Hogg is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital (Lancaster Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust).

Dr Hogg qualified from Oxford University in 1990 having developed a particular interest in Oncology. In additional to his medical studies, he took a degree in physiological sciences specialising in cellular physiology, biology and immunology as well as undertaking some undergraduate research work developing a novel technique for assessing reflux of ions across cell membranes. He continued his medical studies at St Bartholomews Medical School in London qualifying in 1993 as a doctor from the University of London. 

Continuing in Oncology, his first position was in the field of leukaemia and lymphoma working under Professor Rohitiner and Professor Lister at Barts, London. Following general medical training as a Senior House Officer in the Leicestershire rotation he moved to the Christie Hospital in Manchster as a Specialist Registrar in Oncology.

During his time at the Christie he obtained a wealth of experience in treating all tumours using the treatment modalities of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. During his time, he undertook some research including phase one research for new chemotherapy treatment regime in colorectal cancer and in the management of central lines. He has had abstracts presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting and has co-authored a chapter on the management of cancer of the stomach. 

In the latter part of his training he developed a particular interest in breast and gynaecological malignancies. 

He was appointed Consultant at the Rosemere Cancer at Royal Preston Hospital in 2003 and was closely involved in the reconfiguration of the management of breast and gynaecological malignancies.

He is continuing to work to improve the standards of oncological care in those areas addressing issues that are reflected in the North West Cancer Plan and the Cancer Reform strategy such as developing the provision of local administration for chemotherapy, as close to the patients home as possible and access to high quality image guided radiotherapy. 

He is currently Lead Clinician for breast cancer at the Rosemere Cancer Centre and Clinical Director of the centre. He has also been Chair of the Breast Cancer Network Site Specific Group for many years. In addition to the standard clinical roles he has run a conference for numberous years, for Breast Care Nurses in the North of England, offering updates and education. 

He has worked closely with Dr Louise Foreman, a palliative care consultant colleague and has set up a National palliative Care Conference aimed at providing an Oncological update for palliative care consultants and specialist registrars. 

Dr Hogg also leads Lancashire and South Cumbria Network in the Tri-network Meetings along with the Mersey and Greater Manchester groups and in 2008 organised and chaired the Tri-Network Meeting.

He Speaks two Languages, English and French and has been Awarded a Undergraduate Orthopedics Prize.

Dr Khizar Hayat is a Consultant Clinican Oncologist based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in The Wirral.

Dr Hayat completed his PhD in Tumour Immunology at University of Sheffield in 1992. In 1994 he started training in Clinical Oncology in Merseyside, Northwest England, gaining a consultant post in 1999. 

Dr Hayat manages early and advanced breast cancer offering a range of treatments, including systemic chemotherapy and targeted therapies.

He was recently appointed Regional Speciality Advisor for Royal College of Radiologists and has a keen interest in teaching and training, being the programme director for Clinical Oncology since 2007 and FRCR part 2 Examiner since 2010.

Dr Andrew Hindley is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital.

Dr Hindley qualified at Birmingham University Medical School in 1977, having been on a travelling scholarship to Malaysia. His elective was spent in oncology at the University of Heidelberg. After training in General Medicine he worked at the Christie Hospital in Clinical Pharmacology, learning how to use anti-cancer drugs, safely and effectively, and carried out research into hormone therapy of breast cancer. He then underwent training in radiotherapy and first became a Consultant in New Zealand prior to taking up his current consultant appointment at Royal Preston Hospital in 1997. 

His clinical interests are in breast cancer, lung cancer, gynaecological, central nervous system and skin cancer. He is actively involved in research into new treatments and training medical students and junior doctors.

His publications have covered hormone therapy and breast cancer, radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer and head and neck cancer, and chemotherapy for gynaecological cancer. His clinical interests are in breast cancer, lung cancer, gynaecological, central nervous system and skin cancer.

In addition to his clinical role Dr Hindley is the Network Clinical Lead for Research and is committed to improving cancer treatment and supportive care for patients in clinical trials. His particular research interests include chemotherapy for platinum resistant disease in ovarian cancer, overcoming unwanted effects of radiotherapy and development of new treatments for brain tumours.

Professor Timothy Perren is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at St James's University Hospital, part of The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Prof Perren trained in general medicine in London and Stoke on Trent. His oncology training was in Birmingham and at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He was appointed consultant medical oncologist at St James's Hospital in Leeds in January 1990. He specialises in the non-surgical treatment of cancers using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and the new targeted molecular therapies. Prof Perren believes that it is important to take into account the individual needs and situation of each patient and to involve the patient and their family closely in the development of a treatment plan.

Professor Perren specialises in the treatment of breast cancer and gynaecological cancers, including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. He provides treatment for newly diagnosed patients, as well as for those with recurrent or metastatic disease and has gained a high degree of knowledge and understanding of difficult constellation of symptoms that can often accompany cancer and its treatment. Professor Perren’s philosophy of patient care puts the patient at the centre of treatment planning. He believes in discussing all options of treatment before finally coming up with a solution that is best for the individual concerned. 

Professor Perren is a member of various organisations and groups including: fellow of the Royal College of Physicians; He is former Chair of the Joint Colleigate Council for Oncology and Joint Specialty Committee for Medical Oncology at the Royal College of Physicians; He is a member of the   American Society of Clinical Oncology; European Society of Medical Oncology; Association of Cancer Physicians; Yorkshire Cancer Network Breast Group; Yorkshire Cancer Network Gynaecology Group;National Cancer Research Institute Gynaecological Cancer Clinical Studies Group, and the UK Breast Cancer Intergroup.

Dr Richard Clayton is a Consultant Gynaecologist based at The Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Clayton studied and qualified in medicine at Leeds University. He is also accredited as a sub-specialty trained surgeon in gynaecological oncology. 

His research degree (MD) studied potential novel treatments for endometriosis and while doing his degree he was trained to an advanced level in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. 

He undertook fellowship training in gynaecological oncology and laparoscopy in Australia and gynaecological oncology in London (Barts and the Marsden). 

Dr Clayton is based at St Mary’s Hospital and The Christie Hospital, Manchester as a gynaecological surgical oncologist.  He is also a general gynaecologist and looks after patients with a variety of problems including abnormal smears, vulval disorders, menstrual problems, post-menopausal bleeding, ovarian cysts and endometriosis.

Dr Clayton is a member of the recently formed endometriosis centre at St Mary's Hospital and is also a member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, The British Gynae Cancer Society, The International Gynae Cancer Society and The British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.

Professor Hani Gabra is a Professor of Medical Oncology based at Imperial College London.

Professor Gabra studied Medicine at the University of Glasgow. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology and MB ChB in 1987. He went on to complete his specialist training in Cancer Medicine in Edinburgh and then on to the Imperial College London.

His clinical work is conducted at the Hammersmith Hospital and the Queen Charlotte Hospital for Women. He runs a large evidence based/research led clinical practice providing medical oncology services for women with gynaecological cancer, embedded within a comprehensive large multidisciplinary team. He also provides a clinical trials service encompassing all phases of clinical research, and has interests in upper gastrointestinal cancer and adenocarcinoma of unknown primary.

Professor Gabra is also Chief of Service of the West London Gynaecological Cancer Centre based at Queen Charlotte's/Hammersmith Hospital and is also head of the Section of Molecular Therapeutics in the Department of Oncology at Imperial College and Director of the Ovarian Cancer Action (HHMT) Research Unit, a core funded research unit based at Imperial College London. In addition he also has an additional role as Strategic Theme Leader for Cancer Research at Imperial College.

Mr Brett Winter-Roach is an NHS consultant Gynaecologist at the Christie Hospital, Salford Royal Foundation NHS Trust & Royal Bolton NHS Trust.

Mr Winter-Roach is anaccredited general gynaecologist and gynae-oncology specialist and specialises in Gynaecological oncology including treatment of endometrial, ovarian, cervical and vulval cancer. He also investigates Ovarian cysts including dermoid cysts, endometriomas, other benign cysts, borderline ovarian tumours and ovarian cancers (of which he is involved in with research). 

Other specialities include:

Colposcopy for the investigation and treatment of cervical abnormalities and abnormal cervical smears;

Menstrual problems including heavy or painful periods, irregular or absent periods;

Endometriosis: diagnosis and treatment;

Laparoscopic surgery including diagnostic laparoscopy and laparoscopic ovarian surgery and laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Mr Winter-Roach is a member of the following : British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, British Gynaecological Cancer Society, Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Andrew Clamp is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.

Dr Clamp qualified in medicine by gaining a first class honours degree from the University of Cambridge and then subsequently completed his clinical training (BMBCh) at the University of Oxford in 1996. His specialist training in Medical Oncology has taken place in Manchester at the Christie Hospital.

During his training in Manchester he gained extensive experience in the design and running of clinical trials, particularly in ovarian cancer. He was awarded a PhD for work in the laboratory of Professor John Gallagher determining the role of heparan sulphate in determining the bioactivity of collagen- XVIII derived endostatin, a key endogenous anti-angiogenic protein. 

Dr Clamp is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Women's Cancer Centre Lead for the Institute of Cancer Sciences, University of Manchester and has an Honorary Consultant Appointment in Medical Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester. He sits on the National Cancer Research Institute Gynaecological Cancers Clinical Studies Group and both the ovarian and endometrial subgroups. Dr Clamp is also a Member of UCL Cancer Trials Unit Trials Steering Committee, and a member of the Scottish Gynaecological Cancers Clinical Trials Group.

Dr Clamp teaches regularly on the undergraduate medical course at the University of Manchester and as part of the MRes Oncology Programme. He has been invited to give several national/ international teaching lectures including 'Incorporating Anti-vascular therapy into the Management of Ovarian Cancer' at the European Cancer Congress in Amsterdam in October 2013.

Dr Richard Welch is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.

Dr Welch studied Medicine at Birmingham University obtaining MBChB in 1983. He trained in Clinical Oncology receiving his Specialist Qualification in 1996.

Richard is the Lead clinician for female germ cell tumours at The Christie with a wide experience of chemotherapy. In addition he has over 10 years experience as Chair for Christie Drugs and Therapeutics committee for The Christie.

Dr Welch has had a significant input into oncology services in Bolton NHS, breast ovary, testicular cancer and acute oncology . 

He has Published and Contributed to many accredited Publications including:
