Mr David Mowatt is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.
Mr Mowatt qualified in medicine and dentistry from St George’s Hospital, London and Edinburgh University. His special interests are skin cancer (malignant melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma); sarcoma surgery; surgery of neurofibromatosis; reconstruction following cancer surgery of the face, head and neck; breast reconstruction and gynaecological reconstruction.
Mr Mowatt regularly publishes in the plastic surgery literature and has presented his work nationally and internationally at plastic surgery and scientific meetings. He takes a keen interest and is actively involved in the postgraduate training of future plastic surgeons and feels strongly that the apprenticeship model of training for surgeons is maintained.
