Dr Prem Mahendra is a Consultant Haemato-Oncologist and Divisional Director at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. 

Dr Mahendra trained in Haematology at the Royal Marsden, Hammersmith and Addenbrokkes Hospitals and was appointed Consultant Haemato-Oncologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham in February 1998.

On her arrival she set up the bone marrow transplant service. It is now the 2nd largest bone marrow transplant centre in the UK and performs approximately 175 transplants per year.

Dr Mahendra's areas of clinical interests are care of patients with leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma and those undergoing autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation. She has a passionate desire to provide an excellent and prompt clinical service and instils this ethos in the several junior doctors who have trained and continue to train under her. 

Her research interests are all related to clinical outcome of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation or having treatment for haematological malignancies. She has over 80 publications in peer reviewed journals.

Mr Piotr Krysiak is a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon based at University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Krysiac underwent his medical training in Poland, and following his post graduate training, he moved to England to complete his training. He has been a consultant thoracic surgeons at UHSM since 2002.

Dr Krysiak has a specialist interest in the surgical treatment of lung cancer by conventional and less invasive approaches and lung transplantation. 

Dr Krysiak also has interests in mediastinal disease, diseases of the pleura, trachea and bronchial stenting 

Dr Penny Kehagioglou is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal United Hospital in Bath.

Dr Kehagioglou graduated from Wales University Medical School with Honours. She trained in General Medicine in UK and subsequently did her specialty training in Clinical Oncology in London, Scotland and Athens. She obtained her CCT in Clinical Oncology in 2010 and at the same time, her MSc in Public Health and Health Management from the University of London. Her first clinical oncology consultant post was in Scotland, where she specialised in colorectal, breast and gynaecological malignancies, with her specialist clinical interest being gynaecological brachytherapy.

Mr Pardeep Arora is a Consultant Breast Surgeon based at Tameside General Hospital in Greater Manchester

Mr Arora and his team are focused on providing a high-quality service and Patient satisfaction. For this he and his team go to great lengths to meet patients' expectations. 

His remit includes provision of exemplary care in the Out patient clinic for:

Triple assessment of breast patients and general surgery patients; management of Breast diseases (Benign and malignant); Oncoplastic breast techniques and breast cancer treatment; all types of mastectomy (simple,modified radical, skin sparing, risk reducing and nipple sparing); Breastreconstruction, Breast Augmentation and reduction procedures and live fat transfer popularly known as lipomodelling.  He also has a major interest in Laparoscopic surgery for Hernia repair of all types and gall bladder surgery.

Dr Niladri Ghosal is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Glan Clywd.

Dr Ghosal has had experience of working in other cancer centres which include The Christie in Manchester, Royal Preston Hospital and Saint James's University Hospital Leeds.  Dr Ghosal treats his patients in the best possible evidence based way and is guided by experience.  He is always available for open and detailed communications with his patients.

Dr Ghosal trained in Clinical Oncology at The Christie Hospital in Manchester and joined as a Consultant in North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre in 2010. 

He is the lead in Acute Oncology services in Wrexham Maelor Hospital, and his main interests are in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) and Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) as well as combining chemotherapy with radiotherapy.

Dr Ghosal is also the lead for implementation of SABR in North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre. He offers all treatments for Breast, Lung and Brain Cancers.

Mr Mark Jones is a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon based at The University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Trust.

Mr Jones is a member of a five consultant pure thoracic surgery team at UHSM.  He undertakes clinics at University Hospital of South Manchester, Fairfield Hospital in Bury, and at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle. 

He has close referral links with referring oncologists from the Christie Hospital, and from Pennine Acute Hospital Trust.

Mark's practice includes all aspects of thoracic surgical oncology. He has areas of interest in chest wall resection, and pulmonary metastasectomy.

Mr Mamoon Solkar is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon based at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Solkar specialises in Laparoscopic Colorectal & General Surgery. He helped establish and currently provides the Laparoscopic Colorectal service at the Hospital. His other interests are Laparoscopic Hernia and Gall bladder surgery along with haemorrhoids and peri-anal conditions.

Mr Kamran Siddiqui is a Senior Consultant Colorectal Surgeon based at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

As well as a very busy NHS practice at Tameside, Mr Siddique has a private practice at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle. He has special interests in Colorectal cancer & inflammatory bowel disease and holds memberships in Association of Surgeons of Great Britain as well as Association of Coloproctologists.

Dr Jurjees Hasan is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.

Dr Hasan graduated in India, and undertook his specialist training in the UK. He joined the Christie Foundation Trust in 2005 when he was appointed to the post of medical oncologist.

Dr Hasan’s sub speciality interests include gynaecological malignancies, colorectal cancer and carcinoma of unknown primary site and he is the lead medical oncologist for gynaecological malignancies in the southern sector of the Greater Manchester Cancer Network. He also provides an outreach clinic at Stepping Hill Hospital where he has developed a chemotherapy service for colorectal cancers.

Mr John Murphy is a Consultant Breast Surgeon based at University Hospital South Manchester NHS Trust.

Mr Murphy's practice is located at The Nightingale & Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre, one of the largest Breast Units in the UK.

Mr Murphy commenced his career in Breast Surgery in 2001. During his training, he completed prestigious TIG National Fellowships in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in Newcastle and Cosmetic Reconstructive Surgery in Chester & Liverpool, under the tutorage of leading Plastic and Breast Reconstructive Surgeons. Once he had completed his surgical training in 2013 he was appointed as a Consultant in South Manchester immediately.
