Dr Shaun Tolan is  a Consultant Oncologist based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in the Wirral.

Dr Tolan specialises in breast and urological (prostate and bladder) cancers. He has NHS clinica at Clatterbridge and at Warrington and Halton and Arrowe Park Hospitals.  He is a member of the Multidisciplinary Teams for breast cancer at Warrington and Halton, and urology at both Warrington and Halton and Arrowe Park Hospitals.

Dr Tolans specialist training was at The Christie, Manchester and his clinical research fellowship was at the University of Toronto's Department of Radiation Oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto.

In private practice he treat patients with breast, prostate and bladder cancers with chemotherapy, hormone therapy and radiotherapy and uses radiotherapy to palliate symptoms from cancer and for the treatment of skin cancers.

Dr Tolan is the Chair of the Medical Advisory Board and therefore has an important role in advising the The Clatterbridge Clinic’s management team on all medical matters relating to the clinic, including clinical governance.

He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists (Faculty of Clinical Oncology), British Uro-oncology Group and the British Medical Association.

Dr Shabbir Susnerwala is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Rosemere Cancer Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital.

Dr Susnerwala qualified in oncology at Bombays largest cancer hospital, the Tata Memorial Hospital and was appointed as a consultant oncologist in 1989. He decided to move to the UK in 1992 and joined Europe's largest cancer centre, The Christie Hospital, Manchester where he consolidated his oncological experience. In 1996 he was appointed as Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the newly established Rosemere Cancer Centre.

He specialises in the treatment of Colorectal, Breast and Urological cancers. His expertise have been widely sought for many years both in clinical practice and education and he has held a number of positions that reflect this. These include Clinical Director for Oncology Services, Educational Supervisor, College Tutor (Royal College of Radiologists), Overseas Doctors Mentor, Member of Postgraduate Committee (Royal Preston Hospital), Audit Lead for Oncology,  Lead Cancer Clinician for Lancashire Teaching Hospital chain and is a member of the Clinical Governance Committee for Oncology.

Dr Susnerwala is a member of The Royal College of Radiologists and speaks English, Gujarati and Hindi.

Dr Sebastian Cummins is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at St. Luke's Cancer Centre at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.

Dr Cummins specialises in upper and lower gastrointestinal malignancies and hepato-pancreatobiliary (liver and pancreas) malignancy.

He is based at St Lukes' Cancer Centre, from where he is involved in a wide range of research based protocols, both with regards to novel biological therapies and technical radiotherapy development.

Dr Sarah Harris is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London.

Dr Harris trained in clinical oncology as a specialist registrar in Poole and Southampton and as a senior registrar at St Bartholomews Hospital. She spent 2 months in the USA looking at advanced radiotherapy techniques before becoming a consultant clinical oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas'. 

Dr Harris has been a Consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' since 1998. She specialises in the treatment of breast and prostate cancers using drug therapy and radiotherapy. She has a special interest in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques to deliver the best quality treatment while minimising the side effects to the patient. This allows the external radiotherapy used in breast cancer to avoid the heart and other important structures.

Dr Harris is part of the multi-disciplinary team Guys and St Thomas, which assesses patients’ suitability for intra-operative radiotherapy . This is given as a single treatment to the breast in some patients and may avoid a longer course of external radiotherapy. Dr Harris has trained in treatment of breast and urological cancers using radiotherapy and drug therapies including hormone treatments and chemotherapy and targeted therapies. She is trained in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT and cyberknife with breast cancer and advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT , IGRT and cyberknife for urological cancer treatments.

Dr Harris has had many papers published in peer review journals and books, on the management of breast and urological cancers. She is a member of Royal College of Radiologists and Royal College of Physicians

Professor Robert Leonard is a Professor of Medical Oncology based at Imperial College, London.

Prof Leonard originally trained and qualified at Charing Cross Hospital, where he was awarded the Clinical Gold Medal and six of the final year prizes. He Undertook Post-graduate research Fellowships at Oxford’s Radcliffe Infirmary and Harvard Medical School and later went to to become Professor of Medical Oncology at Swansea Medical School and Director of the South West Wales Cancer Institute. His current roles include Professor of Cancer Studies and Chief of Service for Medical Oncology at Imperial College, London.

Robert is a medical oncologist with a major interest in the management of breast cancer. He is a co-founder and Medical Director for  Maggies’ Cancer Caring Centres UK, and has chaired the professional advisory board. Since 2009 he has been Chair of the Scientific Board for  Breast Cancer Care UK. He set up and Chairs the  International Anglo Celtic Collaborative Oncology Trials Group. He is author/co-author of more than 350 peer reviewed original papers and reviews. He has been a senior advisor to Cancer Research UK and is lead investigator several previous and current UK clinical Trials. He also regularly acts as expert oncology witness for legal cases.

Professor Leonard is multi-lingual speaking English, French and Spanish.

Professor Robert Huddart is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Prof Huddart joined The Royal Marsden as a Registrar in 1989 and was appointed Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Clinical Oncology at The Royal Marsden and The Institute of Cancer Research in 1995.

Prof Huddart is a Reader in Urological Oncology (since 2007) at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), leading a team in the Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging that researches bladder and testicular cancer. He is one of the ICR’s top scientists in the Everyman laboratories and also an Honorary Consultant in Urological Oncology at The Royal Marsden, where he manages and treats patients with urological cancer - cancer that affects the kidney, bladder, prostate, testicles and penis.

He completed a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Medicine at Oxford, and a Bachelor of Surgery at the University of London before undertaking general medical training in Oxford and Cambridge. He gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians and then moved to The Royal Marsden for specialist training in oncology. Dr Huddart was awarded gold medals in both stages of the examination to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He first joined the ICR to complete a PhD in the molecular biology of testicular cancer with Professor Colin Cooper.

“Working as a clinical academic at the ICR and The Royal Marsden provides an almost unique opportunity in the UK of working and researching at the cutting edge of oncology, meeting and working with some of the UK's top cancer scientists and being able to investigate and use new technologies and developments. This, combined with the excellence of cancer care within The Royal Marsden, means there is no better place, in my view, for an oncologist to be,” says Prof Huddart.

He recently retired (after 6 years) as Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) testicular cancer group, and jointly leads the ICR’s postgraduate course in oncology. Most recently, he has qualified for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from University College, London. In the future, Dr Huddart hopes to be involved in “developing new personalised treatments which make a real impact on the outlook of the patients we see each week”. He continues to contribute nationally through the Royal College of Radiologists (currently sitting on Specialist Training Board and quality assurance subcommittee) and regionally as a member of the London School of Oncology Board and Training Program director.

Prof Huddart is a member of the following national groups: NCRI Testis Cancer Group, including survivorship sub-group; NCRI Bladder Cancer group, including its localised and advanced sub-groups; CT Rad workstream 3; NCIN urology site-specific reference group; NICE clinical guideline development group for bladder cancer.

Dr Richard Shaffer is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Shaffer specialises in using chemotherapy and radiotherapy to treat brain tumours, prostate and bladder cancer, and skin cancer. He has extensive experience of using highly-technical radiotherapy, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) for prostate cancer and brain tumours. He is able to offer IGRT (image-guided radiotherapy) for prostate cancer. He is currently developing a local intracranial stereotactic radiotherapy service.

He has an interest in the treatment of benign disease with radiotherapy, including early Dupuytren's disease of the hand, Ledderhose disease of the foot, and plantar fasciitis with radiotherapy. To this end he helped write the RCR guidelines on this topic, and acts as a medical advisor to the British Dupuytrens Society.

He is currently the chair of the Technical Radiotherapy Group, chairs the Network Brain Tumour Working Group, and is an active member of the St Lukes Radiotherapy Strategy Group. He is a member of the NCRI Brain Tumour Clinical Studies Group. He is also a trustee of the Fountain Centre, a charity which provides information, support, counselling and complementary therapies for cancer patients and their carers and relatives at St Lukes Cancer Centre.

Previous to his role at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Dr Shaffer completed a Clinical Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, Canada. He gained further skills in specialist registrar posts at Charing Cross Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and University College London Hospital.

Dr Ramkumar Shanmugasundaram is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at University Hospital Southampton NHS trust.

Ramkumar trained in India as a radiation oncologist from 1994 – 1997. He contuined his training as a Specialist Registrar in Wessex Clinical Oncology Rotation 2004-2009 and obtained Certificate of Completion of Training Fellowship in IMRT & IGRT at Royal Marsden Hospital in 2009.

He specialises in chemotherapy and high precision radiotherapy for head and neck cancer, skull base tumours and colorectal cancer. Dr Shanmugasundaram also has experience in proton therapy for skull base tumours.

He is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists, Royal College of Physicians, Medical Protection Society, British Medical Association, British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists,  and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

Dr Prabir Chakraborti is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Chakraborti has a special interest in Urology, Lung, GI tumours and breast sarcoma In the Derby and Nottingham area.  He is a member of the Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists (Oncology) and the Medical Defence Union

Dr Chakraborti has been involved in the management and treatment of cancer patients since 1990. He trained in various prestigious and teaching hospitals in London, including the Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Mt Vernon Hospital. An established oncologist of long duration, the provision of treatment maintaining the highest quality and offering state of the art technology together with an up-to-date knowledge base, remain Mr Chakraborti’s top priorities.  Mr Chakraborti is an active and prolific participant in a number of national and international trials of breast and urology patients.

Dr Correa is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Dr Correa specializes in the non-surgical treatment of Gastro-Intestinal cancers with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and targeted biological treatment. He undertook training in Oncology in India at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Bombay. He acquired regional and national post-graduate qualifications in Radiation Oncology. He was awarded the Satya Pal Agarwal Gold Medal for ranking first in India at the national higher specialist examination.

Dr Correa migrated to the United Kingdom in 2003 and initially trained in General Medicine successfully completing the medical membership examination of the Royal College of Physicians. He subsequently trained in Oncology at the Beatson Cancer Centre successfully completing the fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Radiologists.

Dr Correa speaks English and Hindi and is the lead clinician for the non-surgical treatment of colorectal and anal cancers at the Arden Cancer Centre and have commitments to the NHS at University Hospital Coventry and Warwick Hospital.
